On greed and racism

Hey Bernard, why is there so much greed int he world?

Greed is the product of the need and want chose that we all have.  Mankind has abused one of its greatest gifts bestowed upon them and it is eyesight.

What?

It is through eyesight that the negative emotions are created.  When a person sees another person with something they do not have, the negative emotion of jealousy is invoked because of the survival instinct that is inherent amongst everyone.  Mankind has developed a want for more, instead of what they need.

This started from the very first day when man required things to survive, but as prosperity grew, young souls took what they wanted, whereas old souls took what they need.  This created the separation of classes as the young souls gained in wealth and the old souls become poor but happy.

Today, this is happening again as the young souls become wealthy and the old souls sit back content with what they have.

This would not happen if there was no eyesight.  There would be no power struggles, no racism, no jealousy or other negative emotions as you would not see what others have.

I see.  What do you mean about no racism?

Without the ability to see the next person, you would treat them for who they are, not what they look like.  Vanity, racism, want, bigotry would not exist as you would know them by how they act to you, not how they look.

If you took a racist in your society, took away their eyesight for three months they would have to rely on those around them for help.  So take a racist, place them in an environment where only those that he opposes helps him and he would realize how stupid his thoughts are.

This would be the same as those cursed with Vanity and Bigotry.

This would be the quickest way to cure people of these issues.

But the root of all the issues is need versus wants.  If people would only accept what they need, then the wants would not exist.

on young souls

Bernard, how can you tell if a person is a young soul or an old soul?

By their vanity levels

Young souls do not care or worry about their spiritual journey and are mired in the physical world.  They believe that looking good and having the best is more important than what people think about their personalities or what they have done for others.  They will often ignore or don't know how to help people and tend to be more critical of others, without realizing what they criticize is often a part of themselves.
When it comes to religion, they have no time or need for it.

Middle souls will tend to want to look good but don't take as much care or time.  They are more the need versus's wants type of person and are more aware of people around them.  They often take the time to get to know someone and are curious about spirituality.  When it comes to religion, they are dedicated and want others to share in their beliefs, sometimes to obsession.  They understand there is something more than the physical but do not have the full grasp yet.

Old souls tend to not worry about their appearance or how they appear to others.  They may take the time to look appropriate to society but are just as happy not combing their hair and stay at home to read a book without nice clothes. They are very adept at helping others and people often seek old souls out for wisdom and a helping hand.  They often do not follow a religion but will if the younger souls want them to.  Spirituallity, they are gifted though often hide their abilities from others and are comfortable with their own belief system so that they do not need to recruit followers.

Souls are often inbetween these stages so they may show different traits from each section, though if you study someone closely, you can easily tell the difference.
